You know the flat season is underway when we have the Lincoln Handicap on our cards at Doncaster.
There is always a good turn out for this race and it’s usually a tricky betting affair. Let’s see what out tipster thinks…..
Here is the email I received last night from the anonymous tipster:
Betway Lincoln – 15:35 Doncaster
Normally I don’t like betting in these types of events, 22 runners some after having a winter break, but I will give my opinion of how I see it anyway.
Favourites haven’t done too well in this in the past with only 2 winning from the last 10 runnings and today’s favourite at the time of writing this (the day before) is Yuften. Jockey Atzeni has ridden the 2nd fav Donncha 9 times but gets off this to ride the favourite.
A horse I like and think will run a big race is Ryan Moore’s mount Oh This Is Us currently 12/1, 4 year olds have a good record in this race and also 3 of the last 6 winners have ran in Dubai over winter including him. He also has course form winning at Doncaster in Novemeber. 12/1 is good e/w value.
A horse at a bigger price is Dolphin Vista currently 16/1 another 4 year old, Fahey has a good record in this and although Fahey has 5 runners in this and he is not the pick of his runners he is the one I like the most.
Not a race to get too involved in though as winners have varied from 3/1 – 25/1 in the past.
