Sgt Pete – Reviews The Snout

A couple of quiet days for The Snout with only two picks on Wednesday and none on Thursday. Today he went to the very competitive AW Championships at Lingfield and found it tough:

We are now halfway through the review and to be honest I’m not sure what to think. First off I should say that Tipsters Empire appear to be an honest and efficient outfit. Emails with the tips always arrive on time and queries are promptly answered.  The Snout is obviously very knowledgeable about racing and gives well thought-out and consistent arguments for his picks. The fact remains, however, that a half point profit from 108 selections isn’t going to set the world alight.
The strange thing to me is that frequently (like today) The Snout will go to the headline meeting rather than pick out some less competitive races. This should mean higher odds but it also means fewer winners – for example just backing the (rather obvious) favourites at Bath today would have returned a healthy profit but all at under 3/1. On the other hand it is much more interesting, educational and exciting to be “at” the big meetings and festivals.
I look forward to seeing how the remainder of the review pans out.
I hope you enjoy the review.
