Golf Bet Profits – Introduction
I shall be starting the Golf Bet Profits review tomorrow, which is an email advice system and due to the nature of the sport, is based on long-term strategies.
The site is run by a guy called Simon who started dabbling with golf betting in 1989. He claims to have refined his approach to betting on the sport constantly since then and now has “a network of informers” (Scotland Yard eat your heart out!) on both major tours and he personally attends several tournaments in Europe and the USA to keep his “ear to the ground.” He does have a list of notable highlights during 2010 on his site, one as high as a high as 100/1, but no record of actual results. I shall ask him if those are available.
The service costs £35 for a standard monthly membership, six months for £175 (saving £35), or a full year at £315 (saving £105).
Tips are emailed to members once a week on a Tuesday, although their Tips Centre, managed by Betfan, can be accessed by members. If there is further news or developments members will get an email update. There will be some occasions when a further selection on Saturday or Sunday will be made, but this is rare and members will be informed in the usual manner. In the major Tournaments there will also play a matchbet over 72 holes where it is felt the layers have made a mistake. He claims an 80% strike rate on these at even money, but they do not happen that often. The tips also advise the best bookmaker price on each bet, but in my experience a quick glance at Oddschecker or Bestbetting would determine the best odds.
All Golf Bet Profits tips will be advised with a points stake and a bank of 200 points is recommended to get maximum benefit from the advised stakes. The way the service works is on each tournament he operates a five-point stake so with two tournaments a week you will be staking 10 points most weeks. As these are sent out on Tuesdays you should have plenty of time to get on before the usual Thursday starts. I already have the bets for this week so I will be posting the first batch of results by the end of the first tournament.
