This is David again, i will not bore you with details about me as this information can be found on other reviews i have done. The Sports Investor offers many different services but the one i shall be reviewing is there Lay of the Day, this is a one horse a day lay. Now you should receive there selection by around 10am in the morning, now as per the website they advice you to place your bets in the morning when you receive your e-mail and at odds of no greater than 3/1(4.0) on Betfair. So the service has been going since December 2009 and there has been 65 selections including yesterdays of which 49 were winners for the service, this works out at a strike rate of 75.38% which is pretty good considering the average odds of selections is just over 2/1 this resulted in a profit so far of 13.20 points this is taking of Betfair commission at 5%. The longest losing run so far has been 4 and the longest winning run 10, one would expect to have a few losing runs due to the shorter price of the selections. Now one good thing about this service is that they do give a little bit of background to why they think the horse will lose, i know that this is something that some of you have been asking for from laying services.
Now moving on , i checked out the website of The Sports Investor and onto The Lay of the Day part i was a bit concerned that they were charging 20 pounds per lay which i thought was bloody steep, now i have been in contact with Jon at Sports Investor by e-mail about this and other items and to say i was impressed by how quick my e-mails were answered (we are talking minutes) would be an understatement, also the e-mails answered my questions in a very polite and thorough manner, if they treat the customers the same way then that is a real plus. Now if you think that once we have trialed this service for a while, that you would be interested in subscribing to this service, click on the link on this site(very important) and you can get a 7 day free trial as regards the 20 pounds per lay do not worry about this as i shall explain. Now once your trial has finished you will be sent options for subscribing and now this is why it is important that you use the link on this site it is the fact that The Sports Investor is giving a discount to the Bloggers of this site, as per Jon they would normally charge 495 pounds for a year for The Lay of the Day, but this would be reduced by 200 pounds to 295 pounds for you bloggers. This is not pushing this service (As we have only just started the trial) it is just explaining what is on offer , anyway lets see if the service can produce the goods over the next few months. The service recommends 20 times the stake for a betting bank, so if we lay 5 points on each selection this would be okay for our starting bank of 100 points.
PLEASE NOTE : That i will be putting down two lots of results one is for the morning Betfair price as advised by the service and the second will be to BFSP, but in order to follow the rules as given by the service there is no bet in either case if the odds are greater than 4.00. So for BFSP you would have to set your maximum acceptable odds to 4.00.
