Sergeant Steve Introduces Golf Bet Profits
Hi Bloggers,
Sgt Steve here, I have previously done reviews on LTO for Sports Betting Professor and Racing Tipsters and more recently Place Bet Pro, Cricket Tipster, Golf Betting Profits, ProBall, Hardcourt Heroes and The gambling Don. Anyway, my name is Steve and I’m 43 years old and live in Melbourne, Australia. I have been interested in betting on horses for over 20 years now and have picked up sports betting as well in the past 5 or so years. I started doing sports arbitrage full time about 6 years ago and then moved to the UK and was trading horse racing for a couple of years. Back in Australia now and am still betting in my spare time and follow a couple of systems that seem reasonably good but haven’t yet led me to the Holy Grail, betting being my source of income, which is my ultimate goal. Well my ultimate goal is to get my golf handicap into single figures but you get the gist, one thing follows another.
On to the real introduction, Golf Bet Profits is one of many tipping services offered through Betfan via a guy named Simon Holden. I will be upfront and say I have had a free trial to this service before but the month I trialled it was not successful and I didn’t renew as I had a better and cheaper tipster elsewhere at the time. However not to deny that it appears to be successful and entering this review with an open mind and full of hope.
Simon claims to have realised from very early on that backing in 155-160 fields was tough business but by applying individual player ratings and Course Information to his unique ratings of a player’s mental strengths and weaknesses meant he was always way ahead of the game.
All Golf Bet Profits Tips will be advised with a points stake (generally 5 – 2.5 each way). I shall commence the review with a 200 point starting bank.
Golf Bet Profits claims the staking points are based on a long term strategy and is very confident that it can deliver consistent long term profits by following advised stakes. Last year’s bets produced well over 200 points profit but please be aware there will be some losing weeks along the way.
The way the service works is each Tournament operates a 5 point stake so with 2 tournaments a week you will be staking a minimum of 10 points most weeks but likely 20 or 30. The main bets are sent out on Tuesdays leaving plenty of time to get on before the normal Thursday start.
There will be some occasions where there is value when there will be a further selection on Saturday or Sunday or during the week. In the major Tournaments there is also a match bet over 72 holes where a ‘mistake by the layers’ is identified. The system claims an 80 % strike rate on these at even money but they don’t happen often maybe 5 or 6 a year but you can back with maximum confidence.
BETFAN NOTE – Please be aware this service will not be sending out a daily email – The tips will be delivered ONCE A WEEK on Tuesday unless any other news or developments occur. However the advice can be obtained at any time from the Tip Centre.
So in a nutshell we are subscribing to a tipping service that sends us tips via email once a week and we just back them to advised stakes. Bets are advised to a certain amount of points and as stated previously I will use a starting bank of 200 points for the purpose of this review and plan to run the review for 13 weeks. My plan is to put the tips up after the first round so as not to compromise the tipster and update the results at the end of the tournament.
Let the games begin!
