Having moved into positive territory, we were back level. Could we move things forward again?
E-mails were received in plenty of time, and I’m monitoring the performance of the tips in 2 ways – as a 2 point win bet (unless advised differently), and as a 1 point each way bet, starting with 150 points as the bank.
18th December – 2 selections, a 10/1 shot being advised as a 1 point win bet. Neither horse won, but both placed. 1.13 points gained each way, 3 points lost on the win bets.
19th December – a single selection, at 2.75, and it was beaten into 2nd place by a 12-1 shot. 0.65 points lost each way, 2 points lost on the win bets.
So, nearly, but not quite………
Bank 1: Win bets
Start Bank 150 points, 120 points staked, 4.38 points lost Closing bank 145.6. ROI -5%
Bank 2: Each way
Start Bank 150 points, 122 points staked, 0.95 points gained Closing Bank 151.0 ROI 1%
Hit rate: Wins 23% Place 56%.
