Apologies for the lack of posts – but I have been on holiday for a week. How did we do during the week?
With a negative bank after 30 days, we were effectively “bust” – but we’ve decided to keep monitoring. We were on -126 points on the 17th April.
Another poor day on 17th April, with one set drawing a blank, and a 23/10 single winner in the other set. 24.4 points lost – cumulative loss now over 400 points
Slightly better on the 18th, with an 11/2 double and an 3/1 single. 11 points lost (singles bets gained 1.3 points)
Two singles on 19th April – 23.2 points lost
Ah, a change of fortunes – and approach on the 20th. 8 selections in the two sets, and 6 winners, including a full house. The fourfold only paid out 10/1 – but made a 56 point profit, whilst the double gave 9 points back. 3.1 points gained on the singles bets.
And like the proverbial bus, another fourfold on the 21st, again at similar odds. 55.2 points gained. However, a second set only yielded a single – 12.8 points lost. Single bets would have resulted in a 1 point gain.Bank now up to -96 points.
A mixed selection approach on 22nd – one speculative selection (128/1 fourfold) and one conservative (9/1 fourfold). 3 of the latter came in, giving a 3.6 point gain, but only a 5/2 single from the first set. 5.4 points lost (singles bets would have gained 0.6 points)
Back to higher odds selections on 23rd – and back to slim pickings. A 11/2 double and a blank gives us an 18.4 point loss on the day
And again on 24th.500/1 and 11oo/1 fourfolds selected – and 2 blanks drawn. 30 points down.
Opening Bank: 250
Stakes : 1515 points
Loss: – 398.6 points
Closing Bank: -148.6 points
Note that again placing single bets on the selections made so far, with the strike rate at 33%, would have lost 56 points from 401 points staked.
Only 4 more days to monitor now.
