Spanish Grand Prix ended with another victory of Hamilton,  Mercedes again win, Hamilton’s teammate Nico Rosberg take second place — the fourth time in five races this season the pair have finished one-two.

Here is  the argument behind “0.25sec+” losing bet:

<< Spanish Grand Prix

It has to be .25sec+ in Spanish Qualifying

Lewis Hamilton claimed pole position in the last Grand Prix (China) by a margin approaching six tenths of a second. He went on to win the race by 18 seconds. If anything the Englishman looks even more at home at this weekend’s venue, Barcelona; he has been imperious in the two opening practice sessions.

His car is way superior to the opposition and only his teammate, Nico Rosberg, represents anything like competition in both qualifying and race trim. So far the German has been almost half a second off of Hamilton’s best lap times in Spain.

Suffice to say Hamilton is huge odds-on to stamp his authority on the field on Sunday but, surprisingly, his superiority in one-lap qualification appears to be underrated.

Odds of 5/6 are available about the pole-steer claiming his enviable position at the front of the grid by a margin of 0.25sec or more. Naturally we are presuming that will be Hamilton but should he experience problems it will be Rosberg and most definitely by a margin in excess of .25sec.

Here’s the added bonus: Cars have to start the race on the tyre type they qualified on and the cars must also race on at least two different tyre compounds during the contest. My understanding is… Rosberg will probably qualify on a different, slower, compound to Hamilton allowing him to employ a different race strategy.

If this is the case Hamilton may well claim pole by a margin approaching a full second. If it’s not the case it still remains massively likely that he will out outclass the opposition by .25sec+ on Saturday afternoon.

Recommendation: 0.25sec+ winning margin in Spanish F1 Qualifying. 5/6 Bet365 >

Now the results.
