Daily Doubles Day 28

Sgt Mangog – Daily Review
December 21st – Day 28
THIS REVIEW STARTED NOVEMBER 24th, AND WILL RUN FOR 3 MONTHS.
A cautious note to punters’ – consider how any tipsters find out information. Are they “in the know”? Even if the info is good, the race still has to be ran with other horses, the weather, how the horse is feeling on the day, how far it’s travelled, the jockey, the ground condition, etc. Any punter should consider how a tipster gets his info…does he go and see the horse, the owner and have a talk about it? Or is it a quick phone call to a stable-hand or a mate? Think about it – if a tipster gets £20 a month for a subscribed service, and he has 50 clients…that’s £1000 a month…free! All any tipster has to do is quote some horses for the day – they still win. This site’s aim is to test such tipsters’. I see plenty of systems quoting points profit of 500+ a month, for example, but punters often just see those figures, and not how it was achieved. We all want a quick “jackpot”, but is listening to “tipsters'” the best way? This is what the website is doing, testing systems to give honest reviews about the findings, so bear with us, we’re on the punters’ side…I should know, I’m one of them!
It’s important to point out that the odds depicted below were the BEST VALUE at the earliest opportunity….they were subject to change either way, but I have used these as a barometer for the results. I advise getting “BEST GUARANTEED ODDS” at the earliest time. This system uses 1 point per bet, unless stated otherwise. N/R’s (if the price is taken early) is deemed as a lost bet unless the meeting/race was abandoned.
Ffos las 13.20 at first light 11/2 (4th 4/1) & newcastle 17.00 lotara 13/2 (4th 6/1)
Ffos las 13.20 at first light 11/2 (4th 4/1) & ludlow 14.40 fox appeal 5/1 (1st 4/1)
newcastle 17.00 lotara 13/2 (4th 6/1) & ludlow 13.35 going concern 7/1 (3rd 12/1)
All double bets lost today
No better news to report on the 1st month anniversary of this system – still not a double-bet win. Fox Appeal at Ludlow was the only winner at an early price of 5/1. I did a thorough analysis of previous results and even betting E/W (as opposed to a straight win-double bet) would mean a bank loss. What worked out better was betting on each horse separately in race-card order obviously…in the results above you can see there’s 4 different horses, which meant Fox Appeal was the 3rd out of the 4 horses to win. Going back over the previous results and doing the same thing, gave 113 bets – out of which, 17 were winners, therefore a strike rate of 15.04%. The longest losing sequence was 20 races. I also worked a way of starting with £1000 – and thus far, that bank would now be £1639.09. At the moment, the reviewed “doubles bet” system has a 0% strike rate and a -69 points bankroll.
I worked out another idea…if there were 4 different horses within the selections on a day, I’d try a “Lucky 15”, or 3 horses, a “Patent”, etc etc – not good because although there might be just one winner, overall the bank is still at a loss, so that’s a no-no. So using the same horse selections, but instead of doing a “double bet”, I tried a straight single bet, and that took into account any winners. Will keep any readers’ updated daily on this – see below as I will add my own figures separately 🙂
Power to the punters!!…hopefully!
Total bets placed so far = 69
Total wins so far = 0
Total profit points so far = 0
Total spent so far = 69
Win points today = 0……….R.O.I. = 0%……….Strike Rate = 0%……….BANK = -69 points
My figures….+£639.09 (avg +£22.82 a day) strike rate 15.04%
