This week has roled around quick and we are even into March now which means the Cheltenham Festival is not far away, and I can’t believe it’s time for the anonymous tips again!
With most of the big guns being prepared for the Festival there is only one decent race today and that’s at Newbury.
Here is the email I received last night from the anonymous tipster:
Greatwood Gold Cup (Grade 3) Newbury 15:15
First off I would like to apologise for anybody who followed my tips last week, after a few winners the last couple of weeks I hope no one got carried away. Grendisar ran well only getting beat 1 length into 5th place, I did expect Three Musketeers to run better though!
Anyway on to today’s tip, only the 1 race today as not much quality around what with Cheltenham around the corner .
No hot favourite in this, 5/2 the field but I am opposing the fav Oldgrangewood, I think even though he has won his last 3 out of his last 4 races getting bought down in the other, he is 23lb higher than his opening mark and this might prove to much against a stronger field and don’t represent value to me.
I am siding with Vic De Touzaine, he ran 2nd last time out having nearly a year off so will definitely have come on for that race and the Venetia Williams stable is in form at the moment and it’s looking more likely the going will be soft at Newbury which will suit this horse down to the ground….excuse the pun 🙂 If the ground drys out then it wouldn’t be a bet, this horse needs soft ground.
