In our penultimate treble of the review, there was a baseball selection and 2 football picks.

In baseball, we had a game of two halves. The White Sox were 2-0 up after 5 innings but after the Royals finally got started, the ended the last 4 innings 7-0, making the final score 7-2 and a win for our first line.
New York City FC didn’t disappoint in the next game as they scored 2 and conceded another to meet the ‘over 2.5 goals’ criteria for our second line.
In the final match, we needed Toronto to beat Colorado Rapids. It should have been a complete mis-match, most expected Toronto to well outperform Colorado and bag an easy victory but it didn’t quite happen like that. Although Toronto went a goal up, they couldn’t score again nor hold onto their lead and it was 1-1 at the final whistle.
It’s worth noting that Toronto had played away at New York City 3 days before whilst Colorado had over 2 and a half weeks to rest since their previous game. Furthermore, with Toronto missing 6 players, perhaps this wasn’t ever going to be as easy as the league table would have suggested.
