Odds On Ron – Days 16 to 18
12th September 2012
Sgt Colin reviews Odds On Ron
Hi, Sgt Colin here, with the latest update on the performance of the Odds On Ron system.
I initially started with a bank of 100 points, staking 1 point per selection (using level stakes) and aiming to return c4 points per day (using the staking plan). After 15 days we were ahead by 12 points to level stakes, and 43 points using the advised staking plan.
Didn’t manage to operate the system on 8th.
Day 16 – 9th September
Just 2 selections today. The first came 2nd, and we broke even on that race (backing each way), whilst the 2nd horse came in 4th, leaving us 2 points down on both staking plans.
Day 17 – 10th September
3 selections on Monday. The second was placed, and using level stakes we “stopped at a winner” – although we were 2 points down on the day. Using the staking plan we went with the 3rd selection too, and this came in 5th – resulting in a loss of 8.8 points on the day.
Again, busy doing other things yesterday – so today is Day 18.
The first selection came in at 5.46 using betfair, with place odds of 2.11. So we gained 5.2 points to level stakes, 19.3 points using the staking plan.
So after 18 days we have the following stats:
Staking Plan: Initial bank 100 Total Staked 207 points Profit 51.6 points Closing Bank 151.6 ROI 25%
Level Stakes: Initial bank 100 Total staked 76 points Profit 13.3 points Closing Bank 113.3 ROI 17%
We have achieved a 16% hit rate on win bets (8 wins), and over 55% of selections have placed. Using the staking plan, the gains are now fairly evenly split between win & place bets, but to level stakes, the place bets have generated over 75% of the profits made to date.
