9 Minute System – Day 1

I am testing the three variants offered with the system. For each variant I am starting with a balance on the Bookie account of 10 points and a balance of 90 points on the Exchange account. I will paper trade for the first week, then start placing real bets, once I’ve got confidence in working the variants. I am assuming a 5% Betfair commission.
Two qualifying races today. I spent 10 minutes on each race. It seems the hardest part of this system is going to be finding horses that have the required Back and Lay prices. It wasn’t until near the off time before I got low enough Lay prices to meet anywhere near the criteria for Variants 1 and 2. Also after paper trading the Back price, it was rather hit and miss as to whether the Lay price was going to stay within the acceptable range, but I did manage to get the required Lay prices in both races. Variant 3 is more flexible on the Lay odds but more restricted on the Back prices. There was no acceptable horse for Variant 3 in race 1.
It seems inevitable that sometimes a small liability is going to have to be accepted on all the variants.
For variants 1 & 2 there were two selections, both horses lost. For variant 3 there was one selection which was a losing runner. The results below are unspectacular, but bear in mind that the aim of all three variants is to reduce losses when the backed horse doesn’t win. We’ll see what happens to the balances when we get a winning horse.
