9 Minute System – Day 16
30th November Day 16
Two qualifying races today. The first produced a losing selection. The second race was potentially a problem. I placed the Back bet at 5.50 and instantly a jockey change was announced and the Lay price drifted rapidly outwards before I had got the Lay bet on. I had to chase the rising odds and eventually caught up at Lay odds of 10.50. Luckily the horse lost so there was no liability incurred. This shows the potential problem with this Back/Lay system. Such a rapid and huge drift in the odds is rare, but in this case it did happen! Anyway, the balances survived with two losing selections.

The balance on the Bookie account has gone too low on Variant 3. There are two qualifying races tomorrow, so we need at least 2.00 points in the Bookie acount. So I’ll transfer 9 points out of the Exchange account into the Bookie account. The amended balances on Variant 3 at the start of tomorrow will be 10.00 points and 92.75, maintaining the total running balance of 102.75
