I’m going to chance Highland Pass in here. He caught my eye last time out making steady late progress in a pretty hot race for the grade. He drops down in grade for this race which is an obvious positive and from stall 5 he is well berthed to get a good position if they decide too. He has run just once on the AW which was on debut at Kempton, he performed well that day so I see no reason why he won’t go well at Chelmsford. Factor in that he showed good form around Chester’s tight left hand turns and the decision to come to Chelmsford makes a lot of sense. He’s leniently priced considering his form (5th in a class 2 handicap at Haydock two starts back) and he should run a big race.
