D G Tips Review Day 37
Sgt Mick Review
7th December 2017
Dear Member
Both Attain 3rd and Karam Albaari 4th placed earlier. Both ran good races, Attain hit the front with a furlong to but couldn’t hold out whereas Karam Albaari went down as the unluckiest horse in the race. He had no luck in running and finished the race virtually on the bridle. Still 4th and 3rd both made each way profit and that’s the main thing.
Deansgate finished a neck 2nd, he was switched at least 4 times in running and should really have won. Just lacking that little bit of good luck in running needed but each way returns and profit made.
We go again tomorrow…
Tips for Thursday 7th December, 2017
6.30 Chelmsford – Red Tycoon 20-1 widely available
0.5pts E/W Fin 3RD Return £30
0.5pts E/W Fin 3RD Return £30
An interesting 6f handicap where the bottom weight Red Tycoon catches the eye. He’s been given a small break since disappointing slightly at Newcastle over 7f’s. The facts are his form over 6f’s around a left hand turn are by far away his best performances. He quite clearly relishes that sort of a test and on that basis Chelmsford as a track should really suit. He is very well handicapped at the moment and from stall 1 should put in a big run for connections. He’s a huge price all being considered, let’s not forget the last time this horse raced on the AW around a left hand turn he finished 5th of 74 in a class 4 handicap at Lingfield from stall 10. Tomorrow he races of 70, carries bottom weight and has stall 1.
7.00 Chelmsford – Bowerman 10-11 widely available
1pt win WON Return £19.09
1pt win WON Return £19.09
A very good 1m handicap which are becoming the norm for Chelmsford (it really is a fantastic feature of the AW season). A field of 12 are set to start and one immediately catches the eye towards the bottom of the weights. The Roger Varian trained Bowerman, his maiden form is so strong, beaten just a neck by Stradivarius (went on to win the Queen’s Vase at RA, The Goodwood Cup and placed 3rd in the St Leger) on debut and then he won at Kempton by 3l’s from Ply (who is now rated 95+ and recently won the London Middle Distance Series Final). He is a big imposing type who clearly possesses a huge amount of ability. I have no idea why he has been off for such a long time but if possessing all of his ability then he should win this easily.
9.00 Chelmsford – Noneedtotellme 25-1 widely available
0.5pts E/W Fin Unp -£10
0.5pts E/W Fin Unp -£10
I am going to chance Noneedtotellme, there have been glimmers to his form that suggest he may be able to win one of these low grade sprints and tomorrow from stall 3 carrying bottom weight he may have his best opportunity to date. He returned to the AW last time out at Wolves and put in by far his best performance to date. The form the race is working out very well, the 2nd Blazed has won since of 69, the third is a solid 66 rated handicapper who had previously finished 2nd in a class 6 handicap prior to running in that maiden. Noneedtotellme only received 5lb from those horses which highly he ran to a level much higher than the 45 he is rated. Looking further into the form Noneedtotellme finished 4th and actually beat Zilza off level weights who next time out won and is rated 62. Every form angle has been boosted from that maiden and at absolutely huge odds this horse could potentially be completely thrown in. Yes he is quirky and yes he will need to start well but he surely has a huge chance if he does.
Good Luck
