Both horses travelled beautifully into the race and both were last off the bridle. Both didn’t pick up as expected which was surprising but I later found out they harrowed the track deeper which explains a lot really. We can keep both on side for next time out that’s for sure.

Onto today…

Great start to the day with Gas Line Boy winning at 9-2. He absolutely tanked through and even overcame being badly hampered to win going away.

A pretty sickening ride from Barry Geraghty on Doing Fine. Honestly if you haven’t seen the race it’s worth a watch. He’s made up 4 places and 15l’s in the space of 2f’s. He’s finished 4th but it is very clear the horse could easily have won this race if allowed too.

Duke Cosimo ran well enough, he just got in behind and could never reach the leaders. Back at Newcastle, he will go close.

We still have one left to run tonight so fingers crossed for a good performance.

As always we will be leaving tomorrow’s racing alone.
