Tips for Saturday 30^th December, 2017

12.00 Lingfield – Reckless Endeavour 11-2 widely available/Stellarta 20-1 widely available
Both 0.5pts E/W Reckless Endeavour  fin 3rd Return £10.50  /  Stellarata Unp -£10 

A cracking sprint where two make plenty of appeal. Firstly Reckless Endeavour has shaped promisingly on his first two starts for Jamie Osborne. Firstly a good 3^rd at Kempton over 6f’s in a race which is working out very well and then a good 5^th over a furlong further at Newcastle. Both performances were good pieces of form and from a good draw in stall 2 he has a fantastic chance down 1lb and dropped in grade. Also from that Kempton race Stellarta makes big appeal. He has a great AW record and dropped 2lb to a mark of 88 he is now a very well handicapped horse in this sphere. He ran well at Kempton considering he had a wide draw and was left with a lot to do. He is better than that performance suggests and from a better draw tomorrow in stall 4 dropped 2lb and in grade he holds huge claims.

12.35 Lingfield – Tigerfish 14-1 widely available

Tigerfish catches my eye from a low draw here. She won for us last year over this C and D of 45, she then followed up that win in good style next time out winning again over this C and D of 47. She was raised to a mark of 52 after that and ran well enough at Chelmsford before going to race throughout the summer on turf. She managed two wins during the summer, firstly of 50 and then of 52. Since then she has dropped from a mark of 58 down to 50 which she runs of tomorrow. She returned to the AW last time out when running an eye-catching race over this C and D after being dropped in from a wide draw. Forced wide around the bend she had no chance but the late progress she made was pleasing and now down another 2lb from a better draw her price looks good value.

2.45 Haydock – Granville Island 9-1 widely available

Granville Island is very interesting in here. He has dropped to a very workable mark and I was very taken by the way he travelled last time out over further. He quite simply doesn’t stay that far but now dropped back to his favoured trip and down 4lb to a mark that is 2lb below his last winning mark he looks to have a fantastic chance. Factor in that he has his favoured conditions, goes well at Haydock and has cheek-pieces on for the first time.

3.30 Lingfield – Attain 5-2 widely available/Beepeecee 13-2 widely available

Two look worth support in here. Attain deserves to get his head in front and it isn’t surprising that connections turn to the talented Nicola Currie to take of some valuable extra weight. That could be key as he hasn’t been beaten far in his last few starts and he does look in need of just a little extra help. He has stall 5 tomorrow and as long as he gets a good start and a clear run then he will be tough to beat. This is his best trip and he is quite clearly in a rich vein of form. Beepeecee also looks worth keeping on side, He ran a cracker over this C and D two starts back and is running of only 1lb higher now. He has a nice draw tomorrow and given how well this horse travels if he starts well then it could easily play into this horses hands. He is very closely matched with Attain and I couldn’t put one up without the other.

 6 selections today and a very disappointing day by this tipster’s high standard.Only one placed horse. I hope it is just a “blip” and he will soon be back in the winner’s enclosure. I think a day like today is more remarkable because we have become so used to profit. £60 staked Return £10.50.A loss of £49.50
