D G Tips Review Day 66
Sgt Mick Review
5th January
Dear Member
Ingleby Angel finished strongly for 3rd beaten just 1l. He came from last and made up close to 5l’s, again I sound like a broken record at the moment but what more can we do. We are quite clearly on the right horse in the race but a bad ride has cost us once again.
Oriental Lilly won very nicely. We have been knocking on the door with almost every tip recently and fully deserved this. It’s not often you go through a 7 day period like we have but this winner gets us back on track.
Three to go later, let’s hope they put in good performances.
Tips for Friday 5th January, 2018
6.45 Kempton – Mossy’s Lodge 7-1 widely available
0.5pts E/W Fin Unp -£10
Mossy’s Lodge has put together two solid runs recently and we can upgrade his last run as he had to use up a lot of energy early from a wide draw in stall 13. That form looks rock solid with the winner going close since (won earlier) and the 2nd winning twice. Left on the same mark with Luke Morris still on board he has a fine chance tomorrow. He has a much better draw in stall 5 and that should mean he has an easier trip around.
8.15 Kempton – Eljaddaaf 7-1 widely available/Kodiline 5-1 widely available
Both 0.5pts E/W Eljaddaaf Fin 2ND Returns £12/ Kodiline Fin Unp -£10
Two look worth keeping on side at each way prices in here. Firstly Eljaddaaf has been lightly raced this season but has dropped to a lenient mark and has always shown his best form over this C and D. He won of 77 here by almost 5l’s eased down so a mark of 85 is definitely workable. He ran two good races on turf in the summer but I believe he has been put away for another AW campaign. He ran at Lingfield over 7f’s last time out, from a wide draw he was kept 4 wide the whole way and was never put in the race. That run will have blown away the cobwebs and now back to his favourite trip and drawn well in stall 2 he could easily go close.
Kodiline is perhaps a little more solid, he has run two good races this season on the AW and really caught the eye last time out late on in the day. He holds Shamsaya on that run and the form stacks up well, the handicapper has dropped him 1lb which looks lenient and from stall 1 he too should go very close. I struggle to split them but as both are good each way bets I see no reason why we shouldn’t put both up.
Good Luck
