Triple H Horseracing – Days 43 to 49
12th March
Hi, Sgt Colin here, with the results from the seventh week’s results for Triple H Horseracing.
I monitor two separate sets of results – referred to as Versions 1 & 2 – resulting from different classes of handicap race, and the use of both level staking and a recommended staking plan for each.
As mentioned in the introduction, this is not a service which you can bet on using Betfair or Starting Prices, so you might need to be at the computer and make the bet as soon as the selection is received, otherwise the advised odds will probably shorten. I highlight where we have winners where the odds I could achieve were below those advised, and keep a separate record. That isn’t to say that the advised odds were unobtainable – just that I wasn’t able to monitor the odds immediately.
We were sitting very pretty after 6 weeks, with very large gains and high ROIs. How did week 7 go?
I made a small correction to the results of last week in the opening balances for V1 (improved returns on a place win)
Day 43 , 5th March
Something unusual today. There were two selections – for both variations. By the time I came to place the first bet, there was a non runner, which meant that the bet was a non qualifier. In the event, the horse came third @ 12-1, but the bookies would only have paid out on 2 places. We therefore saved some money compared with those who bet immediately.
The second selection (at 33-1) was also unplaced, coming 6th. 2 points lost on all plans
Day 44, 6th March
One selection, both variations. Came 5th @ 16-1. 2 points lost to level stakes, 6 to the staking plan.
Days 45 to 47 7th to 9th March
No bets
Day 48 10th March
One low priced selection for both variations – and it came 5th out of 8. 10 points lost on the staking plan, 2 points to level stakes.
Day 49 March 11th
Again, just the single selection today, for both versions. A winner, advised at 16-1, which I backed at 13-1 (SP 9-1). So a big win to finish with – 16.25 points at level stakes and 65 points at recommended stakes (3.75 points less than the advised price using level stakes, but 5 points higher using recommended stakes [as we stake more on lower odds selections])
So the last bet rescued what would have been another slow week with only 5 horses selected (and only 4 counting).
