The Evening Value Service – Day 58

The Evening Value ServiceSgt Tony continues his review of The Evening Value Service

Hi All

Today is 28th July and Day 58 of our review. We started this review with a bank of £500 and are using £10 per point on a level stakes basis.

Kieran gave us 10 selections today:

17.55 Lingfield Ovett 3.75 Generally
18.25 Lingfield Gunner Will 5.50 Bodog, Boyle, SJ, Hills
19.00 Lingfield Als Memory 7.00 Generally
19.30 Lingfield Amba 21.00 Sky, Hills
20.00 Lingfield Quiet Appeal 10.00 888, BSQ, Sporting, SJ
18.10 Salisbury Frosty Berry 7.00 Betfred, Boyle, Tote
18.10 Salisbury Potentiale 11.00 Bodog, Sky, Sporting
18.40 Salisbury Rossetti 10.00 Betfred, Boyle, Tote
20.15 Salisbury Juno The Muffinman 7.00 Betfred, Tote
20.45 Salisbury Whimsical 6.00 888, BSQ, Sky, Sporting

Ovett won at 3.75, Amba won at an impressive 21.00 and Rosetti won at 10.00 – the other 7 selections lost, giving us a profit for the day of a whopping £247.50 or 24.75 points at level stakes.

Our brought forward bank from last time was £359.20 so, with the profit today of £247.50, our closing balance at the end of Day Fifty Eight is £606.70 giving us a profit to date of £106.70 or 10.67 points at level stakes.

Only a short while left now until the first ‘watershed’ point of the review at 56 days, where we have to decide whether to fail the system or carry on to 84 days, after allowing for the ‘non-betting days’ on Sundays. I have calculated that we have already had 8 Sundays with no evening racing, 2 ‘Jubilee’ days with no evening racing and 2 days where racing was abandoned during the deluge (hard to imagine in this heat wave!). That means we will add at least another 12 ‘no betting’ days onto the total trial before we have to make a decision to continue or not.

Please let me know if you need any further information about the service.

All the best

Sgt. Tony
