The Evening Value Service – Day 59

The Evening Value ServiceSgt Tony continues his review of The Evening Value Service

Hi All

Today is 29th July and Day 59 of our review. We started this review with a bank of £500 and are using £10 per point on a level stakes basis.

Today is Sunday and there is no evening racing on a Sunday in the UK, so there were no selections today.

Our brought forward bank from last time was £606.70 showing us a profit to date of £106.70 or 10.67 points at level stakes, so that remains unchanged at the end of Day 59.

Only a short while left now until the first ‘watershed’ point of the review at 56 days, where we have to decide whether to fail the system or carry on to 84 days, after allowing for the ‘non-betting days’ on Sundays. I have calculated that we have already had 9 Sundays with no evening racing, 2 ‘Jubilee’ days with no evening racing and 2 days where racing was abandoned during the deluge (hard to imagine in this heat wave!). That means we will add at least another 13 ‘no betting’ days onto the total trial before we have to make a decision to continue or not.

Kieran has sent me his updated spreadsheet this evening, so I will go through it tonight and check his results against mine, as he takes account of rule 4 deductions and also takes advantage of Best Odds Guaranteed offers from the bookmakers, which can make his results differ marginally from mine. I will make any adjustments in tomorrow’s posting.

Please let me know if you need any further information about the service.

All the best

Sgt. Tony
