The Evening Value Service – Day 70

The Evening Value ServiceSgt Tony continues his review of The Evening Value Service

Hi All

Today is 9th August and Day 70 of our review. We started this review with a bank of £500 and are using £10 per point on a level stakes basis.

Kieran gave us 16 selections today:

16.55 Southwell Mad Jazz 6.00 Coral
16.55 Southwell Marabout 7.00 Sky
18.30 Southwell Favourite Girl 8.00 Sky, SJ
18.30 Southwell Bring Sweets 8.50 SJ, Coral
19.40 Southwell Red Shadow 11.00 Generally
19.40 Southwell Elusive Island 15.00 Generally
20.10 Southwell Meydan Style 15.00 Sky, SJ
17.15 Chepstow Mr Udagawa 8.00 Bet 365
18.50 Chepstow Spivey Cove 6.00 Generally
18.50 Chepstow Risky Rizkova 8.50 Tote, Betfred

20.00 Chepstow Huzzah 8.50 VC
17.40 Sandown Chorister Choir 8.00 Tote, Coral
18.10 Sandown Elna Bright 17.00 Bet 365
19.15 Sandown Come On Blue Chip 15.00 VC, Coral, Hills
19.50 Sandown Keepax 4.30 SJ

All 16 selections lost, giving us a loss for the day of £160.00 or 16.00 points at level stakes.

Our brought forward bank from last time was £1,164.20, so with the loss today of £160.00, our closing balance at the end of Day Seventy is £1,004.20 giving us a profit to date of £504.20 or 50.42 points at level stakes.

Today is the long awaited ‘watershed’ point of the review after 56 ‘betting’ days, where we have to decide whether to fail the system or carry on to 84 days, after allowing for the ‘non-betting’ days’ on Sundays. I have calculated that we have already had 10 Sundays with no evening racing, 2 ‘Jubilee’ days with no evening racing and 2 days where racing was abandoned during the deluge. That means that we have to add an additional 14 ‘no betting’ days onto the total trial to reach 70 days in total, before we have to make a decision to continue or not. With a profit of 50.42 points to date at level stakes, that looks like a good omen that we should continue on to 84 betting days. Onwards and upwards!

Please let me know if you need any further information about the service.

All the best

Sgt. Tony
