Here’s the second post for this review and comes after the Bahrain Grand Prix.

Again I’ll post  the argument behind of Hamilton wining bet:

<< Bahrain Grand Prix

 Hamilton – It’s a No Brainer

His price may not be exceptional but the 5/4 (Totesport, Betfred) about Lewis Hamilton winning this coming weekend’s Bahrain Grand Prix remains value and must be taken.

Hamilton’s car is superior to that of 20 of his rivals. So far this season the works Mercedes has claimed both race wins, both pole positions, both fastest laps and topped the time sheets five out of six practice sessions.

Lewis’ ‘fastest lap’ last weekend in Malaysia was over a second ahead of any of the ten other teams. This was despite his pit-crew advising his engine was running in ‘conservation mode’ at the time. …In short it could have gone a lot faster but was set to operate below ‘maximum parameters’.

Only one person stands in Hamilton’s way this week, his teammate, Nico Rosberg. He was brushed aside by a comprehensive margin last weekend (17sec) at the chequered flag and his fastest lap was also .89sec slower than Hamilton’s. Rosberg has an overall inferior record against Hamilton’s (in both races and qualification). Additionally he has never reached the podium at this venue.

The Bahrain circuit has a near identical configuration to last weekend’s venue (Malaysia) requiring a very similar car set-up. Weather is never a factor here in Bahrain, as it is always fine. Similarly this is a very wide circuit where accidents are rare. These are all positives for Hamilton backers.

Reliability during these early races of 2014, with the all-new regulations, is a concern which deducts a few percentage points from all cars/drivers chances. However, of the seven non-finishers in last weekend’s race due to technical issues, only one was a Mercedes powered car (three Renault’s and three Ferrari’s failed).

Conclusion

One of the best drivers, a vastly superior car, a reliable car, a lesser teammate and confidence in abundance means Hamilton is the most probable winner by some way – certainly greater than the 5/4 odds on offer.
