Tips for Monday 6th November 2017
2.20 Kempton – Lucy The Painter 11-1 widely available
0.5pts E/W UNP @ 9/2 -£10
Lucy The Painter has dropped a long way down the weights and finally showed a little more last time out over 1m 2f’s on turf. Dropping back in trip and back on the AW looks a good move and application of first time blinkers looks interesting. She has an AW mile win to her name of 84 and it was only back in April that she finished 6l’s of Aljazzi in the Snowdrop Fillies Listed race over this C and D running of level weights. Dropped to a mark of 80 today she should be very competitive back over this C and D running in a class 4 handicap.
4.20 Kempton – Inexes 9-1 widely available
0.5pts E/W UNP @ 11/1 -£10
This is a really tough race to work out as there doesn’t appear to be a whole lot of pace on offer. Black Caesar has stall 1 and has front run before which looks the only possible pace angle. Immediately Presumido caught the eye as he is undoubtedly well handicapped however he needs a very strong pace at 7f’s as his best trip is a mile. I don’t believe Black Caesar is weighted to win of 78 and I would strongly question the quality of Glenn Coco’s maiden form. That has left me looking elsewhere and with the theory that this may turn into a sprint Inexes makes a lot of appeal. He has the speed to be competitive over 6f’s as he showed at Newcastle last time out with a good 5th place finish. Back over 7f’s he may be the way to go given the likelihood this may turn into a sprint. He ran well over this C and D last year in October, repeatedly denied a clear run he would gone much closer than his finishing position shows. It could be argued he comes into this race in much better form and of only 2lb higher than for his last win he is certainly not handicapped out of things.
