The Gambling Don – Day 5

Sergeant Steve Reviews The Gambling Don
Hi Bloggers,
Another bad day, Cloudy Lane wasn’t fit but sadly ours turned up fat as a pig, cannot believe it the horse has one first time up before. Berenger didn’t look well before and duly ran flat, Salubrious didn’t need to battle it won easy so we still don’t know if he will.
I’ve come down to Doncaster on my way back to Newmarket to mainly see our Champion Hurdle horse Countrywide Flame. It’s not ideal because he would prefer a fast pace and big field but I’m told Denis O’Regan won’t hang about today and the ground is drying up all the time.7/1 is a joke for a quality horse, he’s worth a bet to stake his claim for the festival.
Vintage Star has run well before and is improving; he won very well last time and can take the step up in grade.
