Racing Profit Booster – Days 1 to 9
Sgt Colin reviews Racing Profit Booster
Hi, Sgt Colin here, with my latest review for BettingSystemtruths.com. I am reviewing the Racing Profit Booster system, an arbitrage horse racing software package from the extensive Steve Davidson stable. The software automatically compares the odds on UK and Irish racing from 16 high street bookmakers (those on Oddschecker) with the lay bet odds on Betfair. It flags up where, after Betfair commission, you can make a profitable trade – i.e. the odds at the bookmakers are higher than the odds available to lay on Betfair.
I’ve been reviewing the system for 9 days now, and have been placing real bets (not simply book trading) where I have accounts (the majority of the bookmakers). This enables me to assess the risks of account closure / restriction from using the software.
I’ve made a note of times, numbers of bets available, and profitability for each day that I have used the system. Note that I have NOT sat in front of the computer all day every day to achieve these results.
Day 1
Between 850 & 900 – 2 bets, Between 1623 & 1646 – 2 bets. 33 minutes – stake with 4 bookmakers £60 – Liability with Betfair £153. Profit £3.60, all with Betfair.
Day 2
921 to 1040 – 7 bets. 1205 to 1424 – 12 bets. So almost 4 hours monitoring – doing other things as well! – Bookmaker stakes £155, Betfair liability £1,068. Profit £7.69. 3 wins for bookmaker bets (£115 won off Stan James, £60 from Coral) – £71 lost via Betfair.
Day 3
1142 to 1649 – with 1 hour break in the middle. 29 bets placed – Bookie stakes £200.40, Betfair liability £1677. Profit £14.87. 2 gains over bookmakers – £22 for Sportingbet & WillHill £42.50. Bets were placed with 8 bookies.
Day 4
1124 to 1535 – including concentrated period of 10 bets in 70 minutes. 21 bets, Bookie stakes £177, Betfair liability £1,292. Profit £13.21. Again, 2 bookies lost out to us, Coral by £82 and Totesport by £45. I placed bets with 6 different bookies.
Day 5
3 bets placed between 1030 & 1040, 7 bets placed between 1550 and 1610. 10 bets in 30 minutes overall, Profit £8.54. Total stakes, £102, Betfair liability £586. Took £21 from Sportingbet, 3 other bookies gained.
Day 6
Only 1 hour in morning to place bets – gained £1.44 from 2 bets. Again Sportingbet lost out to us.
Day 7
Literally only switched on for 5 minutes, placed 1 bet, gained 50p!
Day 8
18 minutes in the morning, 4 bets. 17 bets in 1hr 40 minutes in afternoon. £171 staked, £1226 liability on Betfair. Only 2 winning bookmaker bets, Stan James & WillHill losing out on the day, We gained £11.54.
Day 9
Again 12 bets in 1 1/2 hours minutes in the morning, with another 3 bets in 10 minutes from 1530. £120 staked overall, and we gained £14.83. Sportingbet lost £9, all other bookies (6 of them today) gained.
However, despite me having lost money overall to them over the last week or so, Stan James closed my account. The maximum stakes I placed were £20, the maximum bookie liability on a bet was £110, but I had increased my activity on this account by a significant amount (staking £320 over 28 bets). I am also on restricted stakes with 2 other bookies (historically) – and this has restricted the profitability a little (but has kept the accounts available).
So, in summary, we have made £76 over the 9 days, having made 122 bets totaling £1018 (average stake £8). In total, that has taken around 17 hours of monitoring. Clearly in order for this to be cost effective as a stand alone system, you need to raise the stakes, but then you are in danger of having your bookies accounts closed.
Will see how we progress.
Colin
