Saturday was a good day up until the last arb! My stakes got unexpectedly restricted by the third bookie after the bets had been placed on the other two. I scrambled around and got lower odds on the rest of the bet. The outcome was a win on this third bet, so I made a bad loss, almost wiping out the rest of the day’s profit. A few days ago, this review was criticised because of some lucky breaks that I had had. I predicted that “luck” would average out in time and it shows signs of doing so!
Worse was to follow, when another bookie closed my account. it is not clear if this was because of arbing, because I had a profit of over £400 with the bookie. I’d tried to reduce the profit by placing some mug bets to transfer funds to Betfair. Unfortunately on two mug bets I made a further profit with the bookie! So the account could have been closed down because of a series of winning bets or maybe because they saw me arbing – I’ll never know.
It was a bookie that was coming up in quite a high percentage of arbs, so we will have to see how I get on without that bookie.
