The Evening Value Service – Day 56

The Evening Value ServiceSgt Tony continues his review of The Evening Value Service

Hi All

Today is 26th July and Day 56 of our review. We started this review with a bank of £500 and are using £10 per point on a level stakes basis.

Kieran gave us 15 selections today:

17.50 Folkestone Classic Falcon 9.00 Boyle, SJ
17.50 Folkestone Atlantis Crossing 15.00 Betfred, Coral
20.00 Folkestone Runway Girl 6.00 Generally
20.00 Folkestone Feb Thirtyfirst 15.00 Generally
20.35 Folkestone Taqaat 7.50 Boyle, SJ, Coral
20.35 Folkestone Standpoint 8.00 Sporting, PP
18.35 Epsom Flash City 4.00 Tote, Betfred, VC
18.35 Epsom Fair Value 6.00 Generally
19.05 Epsom Blazing Knight 3.75 VC
19.05 Epsom Clement 7.00 Generally
19.40 Epsom My Kingdon 7.00 SJ
19.40 Epsom Rondeau 11.00 Generally
20.45 Epsom Dutch Diamond 5.50 Tote, Betfred, BSQ, 888
18.45 Doncaster Mawjoodah 17.00 Generally
20.55 Doncaster Meetings Man 11.00 Generally

Fair Value won at 6.00 but the other 14 selections lost, giving us a loss for the day of £90.00 or 9.00 points at level stakes.

Our brought forward bank from last time was £449.20 so, with the loss today of £90.00 or 9.00 points at level stakes, our closing balance at the end of Day Fifty Six stands at £359.20 giving us a loss to date of £140.80 or 14.08 points at level stakes.

Only a short while left now until the first ‘watershed’ point of the review at 56 days, where we have to decide whether to fail the system or carry on to 84 days, after allowing for the ‘non-betting days’ on Sundays. I have calculated that we have already had 8 Sundays with no evening racing, 2 ‘Jubilee’ days with no evening racing and 2 days where racing was abandoned during the deluge (hard to imagine in this heat wave!). That means we will add at least another 12 ‘no betting’ days onto the total trial before we have to make a decision to continue or not.

Please let me know if you need any further information about the service.

All the best

Sgt. Tony
