The Evening Value Service – Day 57
Sgt Tony continues his review of The Evening Value Service
Hi All
Today is 27th July and Day 57 of our review. We started this review with a bank of £500 and are using £10 per point on a level stakes basis.
Kieran gave us 10 selections today:
17.35 | Newmarket | Candycakes | 10.00 | Generally |
17.35 | Newmarket | Height of Summer | 13.00 | Generally |
20.10 | Newmarket | Hong Kong Island | 10.00 | Coral, Hills |
17.45 | Chepstow | Supaheart | 8.00 | Generally |
18.50 | Chepstow | Gifted Dancer | 6.00 | Coral |
19.50 | Chepstow | Red Rhythm | 5.00 | Bet365, VC, PP |
20.20 | Chepstow | Moonshine Ruby | 17.00 | Generally |
18.00 | York | Just Fabulous | 12.00 | Bodog, Coral, Sporting, SJ |
18.30 | York | Prodigality | 8.50 | Bodog |
20.30 | York | Phoenix Clubs | 15.00 | Coral, PP, Sporting |
Candycakes won at 10.00 but the other 9 selections lost, giving us a break even result for the day.
Our brought forward bank from last time was £359.20 so, with no profit or loss today, our closing balance at the end of Day Fifty Seven remains at £359.20 giving us a loss to date of £140.80 or 14.08 points at level stakes.
Only a short while left now until the first ‘watershed’ point of the review at 56 days, where we have to decide whether to fail the system or carry on to 84 days, after allowing for the ‘non-betting days’ on Sundays. I have calculated that we have already had 8 Sundays with no evening racing, 2 ‘Jubilee’ days with no evening racing and 2 days where racing was abandoned during the deluge (hard to imagine in this heat wave!). That means we will add at least another 12 ‘no betting’ days onto the total trial before we have to make a decision to continue or not.
Please let me know if you need any further information about the service.
All the best
Sgt. Tony
