The Evening Value Service – Day 61
Sgt Tony continues his review of The Evening Value Service
Hi All
Today is 31st July and Day 61 of our review. We started this review with a bank of £500 and are using £10 per point on a level stakes basis.
Kieran gave us 13 selections today:
17.50 | Worcester | Earl Grez | 8.00 | Tote, Betfred |
17.50 | Worcester | Go Ruby Go | 8.00 | Tote, Betfred, VC, Coral |
18.20 | Worcester | Suburban Bay | 8.00 | Boyle, SJ |
18.50 | Worcester | Get it On | 5.00 | Boyle, Sporting |
18.50 | Worcester | Mibleu | 10.00 | Boyle, Sporting, SJ |
19.50 | Worcester | Silver Lily | 6.50 | Generally |
19.50 | Worcester | Dark Energy | 12.00 | Boyle, VC, PP, Coral |
18.00 | Perth | Tekthelot | 2.75 | SJ |
18.30 | Perth | Benluna | 11.00 | VC, PP, SJ, Hills |
19.00 | Perth | Highland Love | 21.00 | Tote, Betfred |
20.35 | Perth | Definite All Star | 8.00 | Generally |
21.05 | Perth | Cool Baranca | 5.00 | Generally |
21.05 | Perth | Agricultural | 15.00 | SJ |
Tekthelot won at 2.75 and Cool Baranca won at 5.00, whilst Dark Energy was a non-runner – the other 10 selections lost, giving us a loss for the day of £42.50 or 4.25 points at level stakes.
Our brought forward bank from last time was £769.20 so, with the loss today of £42.50, our closing balance at the end of Day Sixty One is £726.70 giving us a profit to date of £226.70 or 22.67 points at level stakes.
Only a short while left now until the first ‘watershed’ point of the review after 56 ‘betting’ days, where we have to ecide whether to fail the system or carry on to 84 days, after allowing for the ‘non-betting’ days’ on Sundays. I have calculated that we have already had 9 Sundays with no evening racing, 2 ‘Jubilee’ days with no evening racing and 2 days where racing was abandoned during the deluge (hard to imagine in this heat wave!). That means we will add at least another 13 ‘no betting’ days onto the total trial before we have to make a decision to continue or not. Please let me know if you need any further information about the service.
All the best
Sgt. Tony
