The Evening Value Service – Day 69
Sgt Tony continues his review of The Evening Value Service
Hi All
Today is 8th August and Day 69 of our review. We started this review with a bank of £500 and are using £10 per point on a level stakes basis.
Kieran gave us 8 selections today:
17.15 | Yarmouth | Hierarch | 4.50 | Generally |
17.15 | Yarmouth | Mishrif | 8.00 | Generally |
17.45 | Yarmouth | Luv U Whatever | 13.00 | Sky, Bodog |
18.50 | Yarmouth | Arch Walker | 3.50 | Coral |
20.20 | Yarmouth | Somemothersdohavem | 11.00 | Sporting |
18.30 | Kempton | Exning Halt | 6.50 | Tote, Betfred |
20.30 | Kempton | Henry Clay | 11.00 | Coral |
20.30 | Kempton | Viscount Vert | 13.00 | Coral |
Henry Clay won at 11.00 and Hierarch was a non-runner, the other 6 selections lost, giving us a profit for the day of £40.00 or 4.00 points at level stakes.
Our brought forward bank from last time was £1,124.20, so with the profit today of £40.00, our closing balance at the end of Day Sixty Nine is £1,164.20 giving us a profit to date of £664.20 or 66.42 points at level stakes.
Only a short while left now until the first ‘watershed’ point of the review after 56 ‘betting’ days, where we have to decide whether to fail the system or carry on to 84 days, after allowing for the ‘non-betting’ days’ on Sundays. I have calculated that we have already had 10 Sundays with no evening racing, 2 ‘Jubilee’ days with no evening racing and 2 days where racing was abandoned during the deluge (hard to imagine in this heat wave!). That means we will add at least another 14 ‘no betting’ days onto the total trial before we have to make a decision to continue or not after 70 days. Please let me know if you need any further information about the service.
All the best
Sgt. Tony
